PIAC is a specialist CLC that focuses on public interest issues. We generally take on cases that are referred to us by other legal services, rather than directly from members of the public.
If you need legal help, the best place to start is by contacting Law Access NSW. They can refer you to the right legal service for your type of problem – including PIAC if your case is one that we are likely to take on.
PIAC does not generally accept legal enquiries in writing. If you contact PIAC directly seeking legal assistance, you will speak to one of our interns. Interns take initial information and, after consultation with a Senior Solicitor, may be able to provide legal information and/or referrals.
There are generally only two interns at PIAC and they will try to help you as quickly as possible.
