CIDnAP open for referrals

The Children in Detention
Advocacy Project (CIDnAP) is again open for referral.

CIDnAP is a
joint project between PIAC, the Public Interest Law Clearing House (PILCH) NSW and
Legal Aid NSW. It conducts litigation, policy work and advocacy relating to the
wrongful arrest or detention of young people in NSW.

This project is open for referrals from or on behalf
of young people who have been detained unlawfully, arrested on out-of-date
information, or who have been subject to excessive force.

CIDnAP is currently running several cases, and
a few have already settled with positive results.

To
refer a matter to the project, please contact Katrina Ironside at PILCH on 02 9114 1793.

For general
information about CIDnAP, contact Laura Brown, Solicitor.
