NDIS: 2022 The Year In Review Alternative formats available on request to PIAC - Contact PIAC
2022 was a year of significant change for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
It saw the most important changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (Cth) since its commencement; public and government recognition of the cultural issues within the National Disability Insurance Agency; and the introduction of some immediate measures to begin addressing problems with planning, reviews of NDIA decisions, and service provision.
This report by the Public Interest Advocacy Centre and Dr Darren O’Donovan at La Trobe University unpacks major developments in legislation, policy, process and caselaw that impact NDIS participants. It tracks the progress of promised reforms and canvasses further changes expected in 2023.
