Emily Mayo
Campaign Manager, Raise the Age
Emily joined PIAC in 2023. Emily is a campaigner, organiser, communicator and strategist.
Her background includes work in the community sector, and a long career as a leading organiser in the union movement. Many of her years in the union movement involved organising and campaigning about equal pay and workplace gender equality and she was a key organiser in the successful Australian Services Union equal pay campaign for community workers.
Emily is also a feminist and social justice campaigner and activist, including leading the 2019 tipping-point campaign, #ArrestUs, to win decriminalisation of reproductive rights for people who can become pregnant in NSW.
