Briefing: new research on batteries and solar power in the electricity networks

Network service providers (‘poles and wires’ companies) are beginning to become involved in the procurement of distributed generation and distributed storage, including grid-scale storage. The Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) has commissioned research from Carbon+Energy Markets to determine and promote consumers’ interests in the design of regulatory and commercial arrangements for network businesses’ involvement in distributed storage and decentralised generation. This research project has been supported by Energy Consumers Australia, the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) and the Brotherhood of St Laurence.

You are invited to hear about this research at a briefing:

10am-midday Thursday 27 August, Anzac Room, Level 47, MLC Centre, 19 Martin Place, Sydney.
