Charmaine Jones

Charmaine is the project officer for StreetCare, PIAC’s Homeless Persons Legal Service’s consumer advisory committee. The role focuses on supporting a team of people with lived experiences of homelessness to be effective advocates and advisors to government and other key stakeholders on decision-making and policy analysis relating to homelessness and housing.

Charmaine has worked in the community sector for over 15 years, with a focus on housing and mental health. She is a trained adult educator who is passionate about assisting marginalised people to become involved in finding lasting and sustainable solutions to issues faced by themselves and their communities.

Charmaine is member of the Board of Directors at the Tenants Union NSW and has just completed a tenure as a Ministerial appointee on the Rental Bond Board.
