We are very grateful to staff at Macquarie Bank and the Macquarie Foundation who, at a breakfast event today, raised close to $7500 for PIAC’s strategic litigation work and the Homeless Persons’ Legal Service (HPLS).
Over the past few years, 15 lawyers from Macquarie have been providing pro bono legal advice at regular clinics at the Wayside Chapel.
Speaking at the breakfast, Roslyn Cook, HPLS Managing Solicitor, said: ‘This work would not be possible without the support of organisations like Macquarie, and dedication of the lawyers who staff our clinics each week.
‘We really appreciate the work of all the HPLS lawyers, and thank Macquarie for their generous donation,’ said Roslyn.
