Reconciliation Action Plan launched

PIAC is proud to announce the launch or our first Reconciliation Action Plan. It brings together our existing initiatives and sets out a plan to drive the organisation to find and pursue further opportunities to enhance respectful relationships and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

On 23 June our new RAP was launched by Carol Carter, who is a proud Kamilaroi woman and member of PIAC’s Consumer Advisory Committee on Homelessness, StreetCare. Guests at the launch enjoyed a moving Welcome to Country by Aunty Ali Golding.

PIAC’s RAP outlines our practical vision for reconciliation and empowers every staff member to play a role. We thank Reconciliation Australia and external members of our RAP Working Group for their assistance and support in the development of our RAP. Read the RAP
