The human cost of public housing re-development

Carol is a proud Kamiliroi woman. Fifteen years ago she was homeless, living on the streets. At that time she was prescribed medication for a virus, which led to her acquiring Gillain Barre Syndrome, and she has been in a wheelchair ever since.

Now 67 years old, and finally living in stable public housing, Carol is facing an enormous challenge to keep her home. The NSW Government have announced plans to re-develop the property and want to remove her from the place where she has finally found peace after a lifetime of challenge and trauma.
