New court fee waiver wiki now online

PIAC is pleased to announce the release of a new, publicly accessible wiki about obtaining fee waivers and exemptions in courts, tribunals and government departments in NSW. Originally prepared for use by lawyers from the Homeless Persons’ Legal Service, we are opening the wiki to the public in the hope that it may be useful to other practitioners who serve disadvantaged people.

The wiki is current at February 2015, and includes links, waiver forms, contact details for registries, and a description of circumstances in which waivers may be available.

The wiki was prepared as a summer project by three students from the Sydney University Law School Social Justice Clinical Summer Course. We also acknowledge the previous work of the Public Interest Law Clearing House (PILCH, now Justice Connect) in preparing the 2005 edition of the NSW Fee Waiver Manual, which inspired this wiki.

You can access the wiki here.
