One aspect of this condition that many may not appreciate is the legal difficulties that can follow when you have no fixed address. Imagine fines escalating to tens of thousands of dollars or not knowing that your license has been suspended or that someone’s used your medicare details.
Kevin Simpson knows first hand about these difficulties having been homeless, on and off, for over 20 years and he’s been visiting the region to help frontline staff understand the issues.
