Iraq documents raise questions about conduct of war

When coalition forces invaded Iraq in April 2003 much was made of the early successes of Australian Special Forces troops.

It was reported that about 60 men, mostly senior Iraqi officials were snatched in the country’s western desert along with almost $1 million in cash.

What the Australian public never learned was that one of the group, an Iranian man, later died in custody under suspicious circumstances.
