The Energy Reform Implementation Group has been established by the Council of Australian Governments to consider the need for further reforms in the national energy market’s PIAC uses this submission to argue that the economic reforms being considered by the ERIG must be designed so as to benefit the community. The submission presents the case for public policy objectives to be considered in parallel to the promotion of competition and economic efficiency.
