PIAC joined with a number of other organisations to endorse this submission to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners’ Review of Standards for General Practice (RACGP). This submission focuses on the issue of adjustable-height examination beds in GP surgeries, providing brief stories about the experience of people with disability of being subjected to medical examinations by GPs without the benefit of being able to independently access the examination bed, and recommending that the RACGP make adjustable-height examination beds a mandatory standard for general practice.
